The present owners are William Worsley and his wife Marie-Noelle, who kindly gave me a preview of the house ahead of this year’s opening. WebHe was a man whose passion was horses, and he designed it so that the stable block and indoor riding school faced onto the village green. You have to pass through it to reach the main entrance to the house. Hovingham Hall is still the home of the Worsleys, but with along with its gardens it’s open to the public in June for guided tours.
