More generally, the concept of the Corn Belt connotes the area of the Midwest dominated by farming and agriculture. Webcorresponds to the tallgrass prairie ecoregion as described in the Nebraska Natural Legacy Project (Schneider et al. 2011). Our field sampling occurred between 26 June to 6 October 2024, and from 29 May to 3 October 2024.
