It had decent density and retained just enough velocity/energy over #1 to make a difference- at least to me. BB shot had more velocity/energy but the patterns were getting a little thin at the most distant ranges. All of these were with a 12 ga using 3", 1 1/4 oz loads in the 1400-1450 fps range.
